Lactation Support

My journey into lactation support began as a single mom attending local La Leche League meetings. I suffered from post-partum depression, cracked nipples and had an underweight baby. The support and community-building that was offered to me there prompted me to eventually became a Leader. Testimonials

  • You were so calm, helpful, patient, and compassionate to me during one of the most emotionally and physically challenging times trying to figure out how to nurse my firstborn in the hospital. Thank you for helping me, supporting me, and creating such a safe place, I’ll never forget!

  • Liz met me where I was at in my breastfeeding journey and was more than just an IBCLC ally. She talked me through my worries, answered my after-hours texts, and respected my boundaries. She helped me achieve my feeding goals despite many hurdles, and I highly recommend her!

  • There are so many layers to Liz as an IBCLC, holistic nurse and empath. My husband and I are so thankful that we found Liz just days after we welcomed our son into our lives. The second she walked through our door, she got down on one knee and held my hand after hearing of the trauma I endured in pregnancy. I was holding onto breastfeeding and felt that the pain I was experiencing and the obstacles we were facing would lead us away from our path; but because of Liz, I have now been joyfully breastfeeding for going on six months.

Liz has been a listening ear over the past few months outside of breastfeeding and is also someone I consider a friend. As a scientist she has also guided me towards listening to my intuition and surrendering to what I can’t control, and because of that, my relationship with my son is stronger than I could ever have imagined. Every postpartum mom deserves a Liz Seaman!

  • I remember you so clearly after having my first little guy almost 13 years ago. You came into my room, and you were so comforting and supportive. I did not expect to feel so scared and nervous after giving birth. You rubbed my back and encouraged me with tips and tricks… this allowed me to take my first deep breath and feel a tiny bit confident that “I got this!” Your comfort and calm are imprinted on me forever.

  • Liz has been amazing. I came to her after working with another lactation consultant because I needed someone who could help me get my 10-week-old back to nursing after she stopped suddenly, and I needed someone who legitimately cared about my feelings about what was happening. Liz came as a recommendation by my daughter's pediatrician and was trained by Dr. Smillie, and she is fantastic! Very knowledgeable, very responsive, does home visits, has a lot of great suggestions and tips...I highly recommend her.

  • In the midst of so much stress and anxiety and exhaustion following a 4 day induction and then an emergency C-section, Liz made us feel comfortable, calm, and capable in spite of the repeated struggles we were having with nursing the weeks after our return from the hospital. We worked with many lactation consultants at the hospital, but working with Liz made a world of difference, and I highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling to nurse and feels like they've "tried everything." Thank you so much Liz for your compassion, your unparalleled skill, and your support. If we're fortunate enough to have a second child in the coming year, Liz will be the first person I call to ensure we have the lactation support that we need.
